Cosplay Voting

So you've sat there through the whole parade of cosplayers as they have come across the stage. You have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. It's now time for you to cast your vote on your favorite. Do you go with the one character you know have a common bond with because they have dressed up as your favorite character or do you go with the one that made you think, "Dang they did a really good job on that outfit!" Or maybe you're more inclined to that InuYasha character who did a face plant every time someone  yelled "sit" from the audience (maybe he deserves it if he is going to punish his body that hard for it). Then finally there is that one that makes your heart flutter a bit, because they are looking HOT!

So which one would win your vote and be crowned winner of the cosplayers?

I was tempted to do the best entertainer, but really if you can't even tell who they are it just ruins the whole thing for me. I love to see people put a lot of effort in dressing up and really lookin like the person.

I totally agree with this statement. To many times you see people forget the 'cos' and just do the 'play'. It's usually those ones who are just making an idiot of themselves too. Another pet peeve of mine are the ones who over play too. At the last cosplay I was at there was one character who kept messing with other contestants as they came on stage or while they were doing their skit. It was disrespectful in my book. He already had his time, give the ones following the same courtesy.

 

But I must say... the hotter they are definately helps the whole costume ensamble!   

Alright, I have to agree with both of your points in that post. Good looks does seem to help the costume out somehow.

I have to go with a costume that represents a favourite character over anything for the most part, but if there is a hottie that pulls off a good cosplay, I may be swayed. That's why I am not asked to judge said contests. That and I don't know the people who control the events, YET! Still looking for a girl who can pull off neko from Tri-Gun.

I say best looking costume, in a contest of cosplay it comes down to one thing and one thing alone, how accurate your costume is. Now, there's that rare case when everything comes together for a near perfect replica of the character. One time I saw a great Seras cosplay, perfectly accurate, same sizes and everything, that's where hott meets best...
