Lost as Anime?
« on: January 11, 2008, 11:41:52 am »
Do you think that Lost could have been better as an Anime series? There a few anime series that do drag out the story and have many twist and turns like Lost has. But maybe the writing and animation style of a good anime, could it have been better? Or is it the fact that its live action make it more real and more mysterious? I do know it may not have taken america by storm as it has.

Just a thought.

I've never seen lost.  But, i'm under the opinion that most shows would be better as anime.

Don't watch lost unless you want to get hooked, then you have to watch the entire series from the beginning. A guy at my work got hooked and he has been watching the entire series to get caught up for when it come back at the end of January. I would like to see more Anime style shows here in the US, not the kinda that keep going like DBZ, but the ones that are 27 or so episodes, and then are done. I lose interest in shows sometimes when they just drag on for no reason.

No, kinda looks like I said that now re-reading it.(sounded more clear cut in my mind) DBZ had a great reason, I just like the shorter series. I was saying I don't like the US show that drag on for no reason, that or have way too many filler episodes to meet their length for the season. If you can tell a story in 27 episodes, don't make 40 that have nothing to do with anything. I like the idea of having many choices to choose from, changing from season to season, have some shows that continue into multiple seasons, but have ones that wrap up in one season too.

I follow. Something like 24 then. Each season is its own story.
