Just got done reading through Origin for Wolverine. Not to be mixed up with Wolverine Origins that is a current running series. This six part series done in 2001-2002, is the first official series to reveal Wolverine's early days and original background. Most know that Wolverine's past has always been shrouded in mystery and only bits and piece have been revealed throughout the years. With the talk of a spin off movie for Wolverine from the X-men movies, Marvel probably wanted to make sure they made the official record of his origins instead of letting the movie go at it. The currently running series, Wolverine Origins, continues to build on this origin myth that this series started.

This series was a great read. It gave a lot of insight into how Logan's character shaped up, like how he can be 'the greatest at what he does' and have that coupled with the softer side we've seen him have. It also shows how he came about his appeal of redheads, the word 'bub' and how he came by his names.

The bad: Not long enough. Therefore, I've started the Origins series to get more info about Logan's past.
