Apparently there is an interest to make a live action version of the Manga series Full Metal Panic. While this is not surprising, games and anime are becoming a gold mine for easy ideas to turn into movies. The surprising part is who is up for the lead, Zac Efron, better known as Troy Bolton of the High School Musical series. While I have not seen him in anything outside a Disney film, it is smart for him to branch out to something different and fast too. Actors can be stuck with a certain character if played to long.
I was not able to find much about the movie itself other than they are looking for actors already and has a tentative date of 2012, so take that as what you will.
